Concert and Quiz

On 19th October 2019 the LOMVC held a concert and quiz night at Westcliff High School for Boys.

There was a relaxed atmosphere in the spacious school hall for what turned out to be a most enjoyable evening.  The Choir performed three sets between which they joined the audience for the four quiz sessions.

The quiz was set by Deputy Musical Director David Smith and presented by quiz master Barrington Wilson.  Questions ranged from historical events to choir repertoire and five teams tied for first place, nobody got all the questions right.

The Choir sets included Freddie Mercury’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” which hadn’t been performed for a few months, old favourite “What Would I do Without my Music”, Charles Aznavour’s “She” and the lively “Rhythm of Life”.

Audience comments include:

“Thank you for an excellently-organised event. Everyone on my table thought it was a great evening.”

“Very enjoyable evening. Great choir. Thoroughly enjoyed it”

A number of people have commented on what a “Good sound the Choir made”, and “How professionally it performed.”
