The Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir were the opening act of the Music of the World Concert at the Radisson Park Inn at the top of Pier Hill in Southend-on-Sea, staged on 18th October 2025 in aid of the charity Prostate Cancer UK. The concert attracted a full house in this spacious venue.

Dave Smith directed the Choir with Janet Walker accompanying. The Choir performed a 30 minute set of some of their most popular items starting with a stirring rendition of their signature piece the hymn "Gwahoddiad" sung in Welsh.
The varied set also included West Life's "You Raise me Up", "Anthem" from the musical Chess, "The Song of the Jolly Roger" for which items of fancy dress are mandatory, the frenetic "Rhythm of Life", "Syahamba" which combines Zulu and English.
To conclude was Elvis' "American Trilogy" with a magnificent keyboard accompaniment played by Janet Walker.
Also performing through the Evening were the girl band Ondines, jazz band Mandala guitarist Lele Bizzoca, Southend Bach Choral, Indian music from Anandadhara and singer Catherine Lima.
