Amongst the highlights of The Choir's year are its tours. This tour in September 2022 was the first since before Covid and so was much anticipated. Although only a two day tour it included three performances.
These tours are not only about singing, but also choir camaraderie and a bit of sightseeing.
The choir travelled by coach to Ware for some recreational time before moving on to the hotel prior to the first concert at St Mary's Church. The church was filled with a most welcoming audience who clearly enjoyed both the music and the wine that was on sale!
The next morning after some leisure time The Choir moved on to the beautiful and well maintained village of Great Munden. Here an afternoon concert was performed in the lovely, old, but now deconsecrated church of St Nicholas.
The audience were most appreciative of a concert that included a solo by Ron Circus and a piano duet from Janet Walker and Kay Duell.
From here it was straight on to The Choir's next venue at St Christopher School Letchworth to perform with the Stevenage Ladies Choir.
The Stevenage Ladies provided some excellent pre concert refreshments. The following performance had the choirs singing individually,
and together to yet another appreciative audience.
As ever it was a delight to perform with another choir.
